Brief History

Cherubin Rubber Corporation started as “backyard industry” with family members as Incorporators. The company headed by Allan B. Lee, an ex-divisoria plastic toy salesman, with a degree of BSME-MBA initiated the business venture as a personal challenge to his late father, Mr. Dai Yew Lee, who has always dreamed of owning a balloon factory as a legacy to his children.

CRC started in Malabon in an old rented Warehouse with an improvised small cubicle serving as the Laboratory. During the high tides, even without rain, the factory will be flooded with water. After a year, CRC transferred to Caloocan.  The first seven years of the company’s operation is pure hardship and sacrifice but the drive to accomplish has motivated the family and its employees to persevere and to pray and to work hard.

In 1998, CRC transferred to its new site at Sterling Industrial Park. To cope with the increase demand for its products towards the globalization as economic direction, CRC acquired automated machines was indeed a bold step to rise above despite the economic crisis that plague the country during those times. The commitment to use quality raw materials and chemicals and the careful attention to quality of the produce has earned CRC as one of the leading toy balloon manufacturer in the country. Further, CRC balloons were rated excellent when submitted to quality control test in a laboratory in Germany. What the company has achieved is the result of the combined effort of each individual in the organization working toward common objectives, led by its President, Allan B. Lee and inspired by its honorary chairman Mr. Dai Yew Lee.
